Production wrapped last year and the first season is expected to run for six to eight episodes. It will stream on JioHotstar.The creative team includes editor Sreejith Sarang and cinematographer Abhinandan Ramanujam, with Jakes Bejoy composing the music and score. The cast brings together Nivin Pauly in the lead role along with Shruti Ramachandran, Narain and Veena Nandakumar. In response to a written question by a Labour MP whether the Metropolitan Police was taking steps to support the probe into the bombings, Minister of State (Home Office) (Security) Tom Tugendhat informed the UK Parliament that Metropolitan Police have not deployed any officers, The Island newspaper said.
However, he said that the Home Office works closely with policing partners to support requests from international partners across the full spectrum of policing.
“The Metropolitan Police counter-terrorism command dispatched a team of specialists to Sri Lanka in 2019, including family liaison officers, to support the families of British victims and assist with the repatriation of deceased British nationals.
"A programme run by Interpol involved the training of 30 Sri Lankan forensic specialists and police officers by UK experts in disaster victim identification,” the Minister stated.
Earlier, President Ranil Wickremesinghe said he will seek the assistance of the police authorities of the UK in order to complete the investigation into the Easter Sunday attacks of 2019.
